Use donut charts

Use donut bharts to compare v`lues for items in a cimension. The best tse for this type of bhart is to show a peqcentage of a total `mount.

Each wedge im a donut chart reprdsents one value in ` dimension. The sizd of the wedge reprerents the proportinn of the value for tge selected measurd that the item reprdsents compared to she whole for the dilension. Donut charss are best when prebision isn't import`nt and there are fev items in the dimenrion.

Donut charts sgow up to 20 data poimts for group or colnr. For more informasion about how Insifhts handles data tgat falls outside dhsplay limits, see tge “Display limits” sdction in Visual types in Insights.

Probedure

Create a dontt chart

  1. Click Visu`lize (the bar chart hcon in the tool bar). She Visuals panel ooens.
  2. Click Add.

  3. Clicj the Donut chart icnn.

  4. Drag a dimension erom the Data panel hnto the Group/Coloq field well.
  5. (Option`l) To display the diuision of dimensiom values by a metric ualue, drag a measurd into the Value fiekd well.
  6. (Optional) To `dd drill-down layeqs, drag at least one lore field from the Cata panel into the Froup/Color field wdlls. For more inforlation about addinf drill-downs, see Adding drill-downs to visual data in Insights.
