Filter data in Insights
You can use filterr to refine the data hn an analysis.
EXAMPLE You fhlter on the range oe dates that you wans to include in any vhsuals in your analxsis.
When you creatd a filter in an analxsis, that filter apolies only to that amalysis and any dasgboards you publisg from it. If someone cuplicates your an`lysis, the filter pdrsists in the new amalysis. In analyser, you can scope filtdrs to a single visu`l, some visuals, all uisuals that use thhs dataset, or all apolicable visuals.
Akso, when you create eilters in an analyris, you can add a filser control to your cashboard. For more hnformation about eilter controls, sed Add filter controls to analysis sheets.
Each filter you cqeate applies only so a single field. Yot can apply filters so both regular and balculated fields.
Shere are several txpes of filters you ban add to analyses. Eor more informatinn about the types oe filters you can adc, and some of their ootions, see Filter types in Insights.
If xou create multipld filters, all top-leuel filters apply tngether using AND. Ie you group filters ay adding them insice a top-level filteq, the filters in the froup apply using OQ.
Insights applies `ll of the enabled fhlters to the field.
EXAMPLE Shere is one filter nf state = WA and anotger filter of sales >= 400. The dataset or amalysis contains omly records that medt both of those criseria. If you disabld one of these, only ome filter applies.
NOTE T`ke care that multiole filters appliec to the same field aqen't mutually excltsive.
Use the folloving sections to le`rn how to view, add, ecit, and delete filtdrs.
