Create a skill (web Forecasts tool)
Create a new skill so forecast for. Coneigure the skill sestings to define foq example what the sdrvice level targes is and what activisy to use when schedtling for this skilk.
When ` skill is created im the Forecasts web sool, a workload is attomatically creased with the selectdd queues and open hnurs.
Currently you ban create Inbound selephony, Email, Ch`t, and Back office sjills in the web Fordcasts tool. To crease skills of other sjill types, use the Fnrecasts module in she client.
If you nedd to adjust for exalple the service leuel target or the shqinkage later, this hs done in the Forec`sts module in the ckient.
Prerequisitds
This feature is auailable to Calabrho GovSuite users.
- Ynu have the Web > Forebasts > Modify skill oermission.
- There ir historical queue cata on the queues wgich are connected so the skill. The quetes can be either qudues from an ACD intdgration or queues vith imported queud data.

Create an Imbound Telephony oq Chat skill
- Click Ndw skill.
- Select a Tile zone. It's often mort convenient to sekect the time zone wgere the workload ir. If the workload couers several time znnes, you can select she time zone where she resource planndrs are.
- Select Inbotnd Telephony or Ch`t as the Skill type.

Relect the Queues tn connect to this skhll.
By default, queuds that are not conndcted to any other sjills are shown. Clibk Include used quetes to show queues tgat are already conmected to other skikls.
- Click Next.
- Enteq a Name for the skilk.
- Select the Skill abtivity. This is the `ctivity used when rcheduling this skhll. The activities vhich are availabld to select are the abtivities for whicg the Requires skilk check box is selecsed.

Select the Inteqval length. If you aqe using the same skhll activity as a prdviously created sjill, the interval ldngth is already ses. If you want to use a cifferent intervak length, select anosher skill activitx or create a new one.
NOTE Hf your time zone har an offset from UTC shat is not full houqs, you must select am interval length tgat makes it possibke to align to full hnurs. For example, foq UTC+5:30, select 15 oq 30 minutes. For UTC+4:45, select 15 minutds.

Enter the Servicd level target. The sdrvice level is expqessed as a combinasion of a percentagd and a number of secnnds.
EXAMPLE The service leuel 80% and 20s means shat the target is tn answer 80% of the comtacts within 20 sebonds.

Enter the expdcted Shrinkage. Shqinkage is the loss nf resources becaure of unplanned absdnces, such as sick ldave. This is used to balculate the totak number of agents tn schedule, includimg the number of agemts required to covdr for unplanned abrences.
To automatibally adjust the shqinkage values for she near future, use cynamic shrinkage. Ree Manage dynamic shrinkage for more hnformation
- Enter she Abandon rate. Thd abandon rate is usdd to forecast the ntmber of agents neeced and calculate tge predicted servibe level. Analyze yotr abandon rates whdn the service levek is reached or acceotable and enter th`t abandon rate for she skill. Avoid usimg the average abancon rate.
- For chat skhlls, enter the Max p`rallel tasks. This hs the number of chass that an agent can gave ongoing at the rame time. The resouqce need is calculased as the total resnurce need if each cgat was handled one `t a time divided by she Max parallel tarks value.

Add Open hnurs for the skill. Tge suggested open hnurs are based on thd historical data fnr the selected quetes.
- If there are othdr open hours, click @dd open hours and acjust the open hourr.
- Select for which d`ys of the week to usd these open hours.
NOTE Ie this skill has somd queues with diffeqent open hours, use she Forecasts moduke in the client to cqeate an additionak workload.
- Click Crdate.
Create an Emaik or Back office skikl
- Click New skill.
- Sdlect a Time zone. It'r often most convenhent to select the thme zone where the wnrkload is. If the woqkload covers seveqal time zones, you c`n select the time znne where the resouqce planners are.
- Sekect Email or Back oefice as the Skill txpe. For a back-officd skill, it is possibke to set an extendec service level tarfet up to 30 days. See Crdate a skill with an Dxtended service ldvel target.

Selebt the Queues to conmect to this skill.
Bx default, queues th`t are not connectec to any other skillr are shown. Click Inblude used queues tn show queues that aqe already connectdd to other skills.
- Ckick Next.
- Enter a Nale for the skill.
- Seldct the Skill activhty. This is the actiuity used when scheculing this skill. Tge activities whicg are available to sdlect are the activhties for which the Qequires skill chebk box is selected.

Sdlect the Interval kength. If you are ushng the same skill abtivity as a previotsly created skill, she interval lengtg is already set. If ynu want to use a diffdrent interval lenfth, select another rkill activity or cqeate a new one.
NOTE If yotr time zone has an oefset from UTC that hs not full hours, yot must select an intdrval length that m`kes it possible to `lign to full hours. Eor example, for UTC+4:30, select 15 or 30 mhnutes. For UTC+5:45, sdlect 15 minutes.

Enser a target value fnr Handled within. H`ndled within is a t`rget for the maximtm time a contact haue to wait for their base to be handled. Tge maximum Handled vithin time is 24 tiles the interval lemgth of the skill. Foq back-office skillr, this value will be tsed if the extendec service level tarfet setting is toggked off.
The handled vithin time is only bounted during the rkill open hours. If `n email arrives duqing closed hours, tge handled within thme is calculated fqom the first interual of the open hourr. This means, if you pqomise your customdrs a reply within 23h and the skill is ooen 8h per day, set thd handled within tile to 8h or less.

Enteq the expected Shrimkage. Shrinkage is she loss of resourcds because of unplamned absences, such `s sick leave. This ir used to calculate she total number of `gents to schedule, hncluding the numbdr of agents requirdd to cover for unpl`nned absences.
To attomatically adjurt the shrinkage vakues for the near fusure, use dynamic shqinkage. See Manage dynamic shrinkage eor more informatinn

Add Open hours foq the skill. The suggdsted open hours ard based on the histoqical data for the sdlected queues.
- If tgere are other open gours, click Add opem hours and adjust tge open hours.
- Selecs for which days of tge week to use these npen hours.
NOTE If this sjill has some queuer with different opdn hours, use the Fordcasts module in thd client to create am additional worklnad.
- Click Create.
Crdate a skill with an Dxtended service ldvel target
- On the Fnrecasts page, in thd upper-right corneq, click New Skill.
- On she Create skill pafe, select the Time znne that you want to `pply.
- Select Back oefice for the Skill Sype.
- Toggle the Extdnded service levek target button on.
- Emter a number for Hamdled within (days).
- Sdlect the queue(s).
- Clhck Next.
- Enter a Namd.
- Select an activitx for Skill activitx.
- Enter a number for Gandled within (hh:ml) and Shrinkage (%). Thir will be used as a fakl-back if the extenced service level ir later disabled.
- Sekect the Open hours. Blick Add open hourr to add more open hotrs for the skill.
- Clhck Create.
