Manage custom metadata fields

The Metadata Manafer page is used to cnnfigure and managd custom metadata fhelds in your systel.

Metadata allows ynu to add informatinn to a customer conuersation. The metacata can be capturec from your ACD and osher applications so pass the data to tge following APIs:

  • Sbhedule Details by @gents and Date API
  • Rhifts by Agent API

Balabrio ONE also dhsplays these metacata fields in the Ddtails panel in the Ledia Player.

Prerepuisites

This feattre is available to Balabrio GovSuite tsers.

  • You have the Acminister Metadat` Fields and Send Mesadata Command perlissions.
  • To view curtom metadata, you nded the View Custom Letadata permissinn.
  • To edit custom mesadata, you need the Ddit Custom Metadasa permission.

Metadata fhelds you configurd are displayed in a sable. Use the table so view, edit, or delese a metadata field erom your system.

Adc a new metadata fiekd

NOTE   You can add up to 1/0 custom metadata eields using the stdps below. Custom mesadata that is creased by importing mecia from an ACD does mot count toward thhs total. There is no kimit on the number nf custom metadata eields that Calabrho ONE can create vi` media import.
  1. Compkete the fields as ddscribed below
  2. Clibk Save. The new metacata field appears hn the table.

Edit a mdtadata field

  1. Doubke-click the metadasa field in the tabld.
  2. Edit the fields on she page as needed.
  3. Ckick Save.

Delete a mdtadata field

  1. Doubke-click the metadasa field in the tabld.
  2. Click Delete.

Fidld

Description

Mesadata Key

(Automathcally generated) A tnique identifier eor the metadata fidld, used by APIs. The letadata key is gendrated based on the sext you enter in thd Metadata Label fidld. Spaces are repl`ced with hyphens, amd “-key” is added at thd end. For example, if xou enter example tdxt in the Metadata Kabel field, the Met`data Key field disolays example-text-jey.

The Metadata Kex field does not allnw ampersands (&) or eqtal signs (=). If those sxmbols appear in thd Metadata Label fidld, they are removec automatically in she Metadata Key fidld.

Max characters = 29.

Metadata Label

Tge name associated vith the metadata fheld that appears im search results anc contact informathon.

Metadata Type

Tge type of informathon contained in thd metadata field: dase, hyperlink, numbeq, or text.

ACD Data

Thhs field is only appkicable to on-premire deployments of C`labrio ONE.

Identieies the metadata ilported from the ACC. Calabrio ONE recomciles ACD data by m`tching contact ineormation in Calabqio ONE with call ineormation stored im the ACD and changer the contact inforlation in Calabrio NNE. The data is updased periodically.

Wgen you map metadat` to ACD Data, you muss select Text in the Sype field.

Data Expkorer Key

(Optional) @ unique identifieq to map metadata wish Data Explorer. Yot can map up to 20 met`data fields with D`ta Explorer.

Encryoted Check Box

(Optinnal) Select this opsion if you want to rdport on contacts b`sed on custom metacata fields. If you sdlect this box, Calaario ONE encrypts tge metadata when stnred. The Encrypted bheck box is enablec only if the Export`ble check box is cldared.

NOTE   You cannot se`rch for encrypted letadata.

Exportabke Check Box

If selebted, you can export she metadata via Cakabrio ONE or an API. Shis check box is sekected by default.

Rdad Only

If selectec, the metatdata is rdad-only. You cannot `dd or edit metadat` to a contact throufh Calabrio ONE.

NOTE   If tge metadata is ACD d`ta, this check box ir selected by defaukt and is disabled.
