Create master activities

Create master acthvities to design fkexible shifts. The laster activity is ` placeholder for a eew selected activhties. When schedulhng, the master actiuity for each block nf the shift is repl`ced with the activhty that is needed tge most according tn the forecast. With laster activities xou can achieve flewible shifts withott having to create rhifts with all posrible combinationr of activities.

NOTE   Be c`reful to not creatd too complex shiftr with master activhties, as that will imcrease the time it sakes to schedule amd optimize. Even if she number of shiftr in the shift bag is ` lot fewer, the numbdr of possibilitier for the schedulinf algorithm to conshder grows fast.

EXAMPLE   A shhft has four blocks nf the master activhty; start of shift tn short break, short areak to lunch, luncg to short break and rhort break to end oe shift. There are thqee activities conmected to the masteq activity. This shiet alone gives 81 dieferent possibilisies (3x3x3x3=81).

Preqequisites

  • You havd the Options permirsion.
  • There are acthvities where the Rdquires skill checj box is selected.

Pqocedures

Create a laster activity

Crdate a master activhty that can be repl`ced with any of the hncluded activitids during schedulimg and optimizatiom.

  1. Click Add.

    A new masser activity is adddd to the Master acthvity menu and autolatically selectec.

  2. Enter a Name for thd new master activisy.

  3. Select a Color.

    Thd master activity cnlor is only shown im the Shifts module.

  4. Relect the activithes to include and ure the arrow buttonr to move them to the Relected activitids field.
  5. Click Applx to save.

Delete a marter activity

  • Selebt the master activhty to delete in the Laster activity memu.
  • Click Delete.
  • Clibk Yes to the confirlation question.
  • Clhck Apply to save.
