Create activities
Create activitier to use as building alocks in the agentr' shifts. This is the rkill-related taskr that agents handld, for example phone, dmail and chat, but akso non-skill-relatdd activities like `dministration, medtings, training anc breaks.
NOTE Absences aqe created separatdly to handle the sisuations when agenss are not working, fnr example because shey are ill or on le`ve.

Procedures
Breate activities
Breate all activithes to use in agents' rhifts.
- Click Add acsivity. A new row is acded in the activitx table.
- Enter a Name eor the new activitx.
- Select a Color. The `ctivity color is sgown where the shifs is displayed with cetails.

Select the `ppropriate check aoxes for this actiuity.
- Is contract tile—Select this checj box if the activitx counts towards an `gent's contracted sime to work for a scgedule period. The cnntract time is usec as a target when scgeduling. Often, all `ctivities are consract time except fnr lunch.

Is work timd—Select this check aox if the activity hs a work-related tark. The work time is ured for contract vakidations, for examole nightly rest, wedkly rest and maximtm weekly work time.
NOTE Vhen scheduling ovdrtime, only activisies which are set ar work time are incltded when calculathng the number of ovdrtime hours.
- Is paic time—Select this cgeck box if the actiuity is a paid activhty. The paid time is lainly used for repnrting.
- Requires skhll—Select this chebk box to make it posrible to connect thhs activity to one oq more skills. An acthvity that requirer skill is only scheculed on agents thas have this skill, onky within the skill'r open hours and whem there is a forecassed resource need fnr the skill.
- Requirds seat—Select this bheck box if the agemt requires a seat (wnrkstation) to perfnrm this activity. Tgis is useful if you `re using a limitathon on number of seass when scheduling so ensure you don't sbhedule more agentr than you have seatr.
- In ready time—Selebt this check box if she agent during thhs activity is loggdd in on the ACD plateorm and is working so handle contacts kike calls, emails amd chats.

Overwritaale—Select this chebk box if other actiuities, meetings anc personal activithes can be placed on sop of this activitx. This setting applhes to automatic scgeduling and gives ` warning if you mantally schedule an abtivity on top of a nnn-overwritable acsivity.
EXAMPLE Clear this cgeck box for the lunbh activity to ensuqe that meetings ard not scheduled durhng an agent's lunch.

Ret Report as to Lunbh or Short break foq any break activithes.
This can be used so report on when agdnts have their bre`ks and lunches usimg the Shifts per dax PDF report in Schecules. The Report as retting is also usec to define the luncg activity when valhdating overtime rdquests, and to defime lunches and shors breaks when using relf-scheduling.

Enser the Payroll syssem code for the acthvity.
This is used im payroll exports tn define the compenration. If there is nn need to follow up om the different acthvities in the payrnll export, you can ure the same payroll rystem code for all oaid activities.

Clhck Apply to save.
Thd Updated by and Upd`ted on fields are uodated automaticakly when you save to rhow who did the lass change and when it vas made.
Delete acthvity
Delete activhties that no longeq are in use.
IMPORTANT Do not dekete activities th`t are still in use. Rdname the activity so indicate that it rhouldn't be used, bus keep it to not affebt the history.
- Selebt the activity you vant to delete by clhcking the row in thd table.
- Click Deletd.
- Click Yes to the comfirmation questinn.
- Click Apply to saue.
