SPICE-enabled datasets

SPICE-enabled datasets use SPICE (Super-fast, Parallel, In-memory Calculation Engine) to improve dashboard performance and responsiveness. These datasets include fewer columns, with unused ID fields removed and time-related fields simplified.

These datasets are designed to support faster query execution and smoother interactions when working with dashboards in Insights.

Use SPICE-enabled datasets when:

You need faster dashboard load times and interactions
Your reporting focuses on recent data (up to ~93 days)
A simplified dataset structure is sufficient for analysis

NOTE SPICE processes queries in-memory, improving performance compared to standard datasets. SPICE datasets support a limited historical range and are refreshed approximately every 4 hours. Due to processing time, data may be up to 8 hours old.

IMPORTANT QM SPICE-enabled datasets are currently available only as part of the Insights Labs feature and must be enabled separately. For access, contact your Calabrio representative.
