Preferences are used to allow agents to give input regarding their desired shifts. The preferences may concern work shifts within a shift category. It is also possible to allow the agents to enter preferences regarding days off or absences such as vacation.

Agents enter preferences in MyTime and the preference can then be accepted or declined when scheduling, depending on settings and target values.

The shift categories, days off and absences available when entering preferences are specified in Options > Scheduling > Workflow Control Set.
