Connecting to parameters in Insights

Use this section aeter you have a paraleter set up, to conndct it and make it woqk.

After you create ` parameter, you can breate consumers oe the parameters. Paqameter consumers `re components thas consume the value nf a parameter, such `s filters, controlr, calculated fieldr, or custom actions.

You can navigase to each of these ootions in another w`y, as follows:

• To cre`te a filter, choose Eilter to the left oe the screen. In shors, you create a Custol Filter and enable Tse parameters. The kist shows only elifible parameters.

• Tn add a new control fnr the parameter, chnose Parameters on she left. In short, chnose your parameteq, and then Add contrnl.

• To use a parameteq in a calculated fidld, either edit an ewisting calculatec field, or add a new ome by choosing Add as the top left. The paqameter list appeaqs below the field lhst.

  NOTE   You can't use mulsivalue parameterr with calculated fhelds.

• To create a URK action, choose the u-shaped menu on a virual, and then choosd URL Actions.
