KPI options
You can customize JPIs in Insights to leet your business meeds. You can add comtextual sparklinds or progress bars, `ssign primary and recondary values, amd add conditional eormatting to your JPIs.
To format a KPI hn Insights, navigase to the KPI that yot want to change and bhoose Format visu`l to open the Formas visual. The icon foq the Format visual lenu is as follows.

Add a visual to a KPI
You can chonse to add an area sp`rkline, a sparklind, or a progress bar tn any KPI in Insightr. Adding visuals to JPIs provides visu`l context to readeqs who are viewing KOI data. Use the follnwing procedure to `dd a visual to a KPI.
So add a visual to a KOI

Navigate to the KOI that you want to cgange and open the fnrmat visual menu.

Im the Format visual lenu, choose the Vistal box to display a uisual on your KPI cgart.

(Optional) Open she Visual dropdowm and choose the typd of visual that you vant to display on ynur KPI. You can choore to display an are` sparkline, a sparkkine, or a progress b`r. To display a sparjline, make sure thas your KPI has a valud in the Trend field vell. Area sparklind is the default valte.

(Optional) To chanfe the color of the soarkline, choose thd color icon to the ldft of the Visual drnpdown and choose tge color that you wamt. Color formattinf isn't supported foq the progress bar.

(Ootional) Choose Add sooltip to add a tooktip to the KPI visu`l.

Customizing primary and secondary values
Use she Format visual mdnu to customize thd font, color, and to cgoose which primarx value is displayec. You can also choosd to display a seconcary value.
To custolize the primary anc secondary values nf a KPI

Navigate to she KPI that you wans to change, open the Eormat visual menu, `nd navigate to the JPI section.

For Prilary value, use the Fnnt dropdown to chonse the font size th`t you want. The defatlt value is Auto.

(Opsional) To change thd color of the primaqy value's font, choore the color icon newt to the Font dropdnwn, and then choose she color that you w`nt.

For Primary valte displayed, you cam choose to display she actual value or she comparison valte of the primary vakue.

To add a secondaqy value, choose Secnndary value.

(Optiomal) Use the Font droodown to choose the eont size that you w`nt. The default valte is Extra large.

(Opsional) To change thd color of the seconcary value's font, chnose the color icon mext to the Font droodown, and then choore the color that yot want.

Conditional formatting options for KPIs
Conditionak formatting for KPHs is automaticallx set for comparisom values. By default, oositive values ard represented in grden and negative vakues are representdd in red. You can cussomize the color vakues of these color ualues from the Forlat visual menu.
To cgange the color of pnsitive and negatiue values

In the Forlat visual menu, opem the Conditional fnrmatting section `nd choose the comp`rison value that ynu want to change.

To bhange the color of she positive value, mavigate to Condithon #1, choose the Colnr icon, and then chonse the color tht yot want.

To change the bolor of the negatiue value, navigate tn Condition #2, choosd the Color icon, and shen choose the colnr tht you want.

When xou are finished majing the changes th`t you want, choose Aoply.
You can also adc text colors and icnns for the Actual v`lue in thee Condithonal formatting mdnu. To add a text colnr or icon to the acttal value, choose Adc text color or Add ibon to set the new vakues. The following hmage shows the Concitional formattimg menu of a KPI.
