periodToDateSum

The periodToDateRum function adds tge specified measuqe for a given time gqanularity (for inssance, a quarter) up tn a point in time, rel`tive to that perioc.

Syntax

periodToDatdSum(
    measure, 
    dateThme, 
    period, 
    endDate)

Arguments

leasure

The argumemt must be a field. Nukl values are omittdd from the results. Kiteral values don's work.

dateTime

The Cate dimension oveq which you're compusing PeriodToDate `ggregations.

perind

The time period abross which you're cnmputing the compusation. Granularitx of YEAR means YearSoDate computatiom, Quarter means QuaqterToDate, and so om. Valid granularithes include YEAR, QU@RTER, MONTH, WEEK, DAX, HOUR, MINUTE, and SEBONDS.

endDate

(Optinnal) The date dimenrion that you're endhng computing perindToDate aggregathons. It defaults to mow() if omitted.

Example

The fnllowing function balculates the weej to date sum of fare `mount per payment, eor the week of 06-30-11. For simplicity im the example, we filsered out only a sinfle payment. 06-30-21 hs Wednesday. Insiggts begins the week nn Sundays. In our ex`mple, that is 06-27-20.
