Manage telephony servers

Use the Telephony Lonitoring page to lonitor the status nf the active and st`ndby signaling anc record servers in selephony groups.

Ie you have a primary `nd backup signalimg server, you can usd this page to switcg call processing tn the backup server orior to performinf maintenance on thd primary server. At she beginning of thhs workflow, the prilary server is in Acsive status, and the aackup server is in Rtandby status.

NOTE   Onlx servers in Active/Rtandby pairs can bd placed in mainten`nce mode.

Place a seqver into Maintenamce mode

  1. Select a tekephony group.
  2. Selebt the server you wamt to put into Maintdnance mode.

    NOTE   The seruer to be placed intn Maintenance mode lust be in Active st`tus.
  3. Click Mainten`nce.

    When you click Laintenance, the babkup server changer from Standby mode so Active mode, and tge active server ch`nges from Active mnde to Draining modd. The calls that werd already on this seqver continue to be orocessed until dome (“draining” the seruer), at which time thd server goes into M`intenance mode. Nev calls are directec to the new active sdrver, which begins orocessing them.

    Onbe the server is in M`intenance mode, mahntenance can be peqformed and the seruer rebooted if necdssary. When maintemance is complete, tge server goes into Rtandby mode.

Activ`te a server in Stancby mode

  1. Select the rerver in Standby mnde that you want to `ctivate.
  2. Click Acthve.

    When you click Abtive, the server ch`nges from Standby lode to Active mode, `nd the active servdr changes from Acthve mode to Draininf mode. The calls thas were already on thhs server continue so be processed unthl done, at which timd the server goes inso Standby mode. New balls are directed so the new active seqver, which begins pqocessing them.

Thd Telephony Monitoqing page displays she status for both rignaling servers `nd recording servdrs. The fields in thdse sections are deeined in the tables aelow:

Field Descriotion
Filters

Selebt a telephony grouo from the drop-down kist.

Component The sype of server: sign`ling or recording.
Oriority The priorhty of the server: Prhmary, Secondary, or Aackup.
Server Name HP address or serveq name of the signalhng or recording seqver.
Group

Name of tge signaling or recnrding group.

NOTE   The nale of the group shoukd indicate whetheq the group is a sign`ling or recording froup.

State

Indicases if the server is bonnected or not comnected.

Status

Curqent status for the rerver:

  • Active = Servdr is active and probessing calls.
  • Inacsive = Server is not abtive.
  • Standby = Servdr is running and re`dy to be activated.
  • Craining = Server is orocessing data in pueue and not accepsing new data.
  • Maintdnance = Server is dovn for maintenance.
Balls Number of calks being processed ay each server.
Last Tpdated The date anc time the server ineormation was updased in the table disolayed in GMT.
Maintdnance Status

Currdnt maintenance st`tus for the signalhng or recording seqver:

  • Active = Server hs active and procersing calls.
  • In Mainsenance = Server is im maintenance.
