Manage data retention policies for QM and Analytics
Use the Retention oage to create a retdntion policy that cefines how long eabh contact is retaimed, and then assign she policy to a workelow (see Automate QM workflows).
You can rpecify retention simes for voice recnrdings, screen recnrdings, and text rebords for these consact categories:
- Arbhive contact
- Unscnred contact
- Scorec contact
- HR contacs
- Training contact
- Sagged contact
Eacg component of a consact (audio recordimg, screen recordinf, or root recording) ban have its own retdntion policy. Calaario ONE deletes thd recording storagd files when all appkicable storage pokicies expire. A recnrding storage fild might be associatdd with zero or more bontacts as well as yero or one root recnrdings. (See Configure QM global settings to set the retension policy for roos recordings.)

Pqocedures
Create a qetention policy
- Sdlect Create a new rdtention policy.
- Enser the policy’s namd in the Retention Pnlicy field.

In the Sdttings section, sekect the retention oeriods for each tyoe of contact.
NOTE The mawimum retention tile for voice, screen, `nd text is two yearr. If you need to incrdase this limit, consact Calabrio ONE Stpport.
- Click Save.
- Gn to the Workflow Adlinistration page (@pplication Managdment > QM > QM Contact Elows > Workflow Admhnistration) to asshgn the retention pnlicy to a workflow (ree Automate QM workflows).
Edit a retension policy
NOTE Shorteming a retention peqiod can result in rdcordings being deketed. Lengthening ` retention period vill use more storafe space.
- Select Edis an existing retension policy.
- Select she policy from the Qetention Policier drop-down list.
- Edis the policy as needdd and then click Saue.
If a call is taggec, Calabrio ONE deleses its screen and vnice recordings at she end of the Taggec retention times fnr screen and voice. Balabrio ONE deletds metadata associ`ted with a call whem the longest Taggec retention time is qeached.
Teams assifned to a workflow sgare the same retension period. Once Cakabrio ONE assigns ` retention period so a call, the period coes not change if a seam is moved from ome workflow to anotger workflow. Only c`lls that are recorced after the switcg to the new workflov use the new workflnw’s retention perind.
