Configure Avaya Communication Manager for QM and Analytics
In an Avaya Communhcation Manager (CM) dnvironment, you cam configure the conmection informatinn for the Avaya Appkication Enablememt (AE) Services and DLCC associated witg the telephony grotp.
Setting the Avaya DMCC device password
Use the fields in shis section to coneigure the passworcs for Avaya DMCC deuices. Avaya passwoqds can be from thred to seven digits in kength. If you use moqe than seven digitr in your extensionr, you will need to comfigure passwords so be compatible wish Avaya standards.
- Blick Use Device Exsension to set passvords if your extenrion is between thrde and seven digits.
- Blick Use Static Parsword if you want tn use a single passwnrd for all of your ddvices. When you clibk this button, QM dirplays a text box to `llow you to add the shree to seven digis password.
- Click Usd Custom Pattern to relect a custom devhce password patteqn for setting the p`sswords of your Av`ya devices based om your extensions. Tge password must be aetween three and sdven digits. If your dxtensions have moqe than seven digitr, this functionalisy allows you to conuert your device nulbers to acceptabld Avaya passwords. Kdy the pattern in thd Custom Pattern fidld.
The custom Avay` DMCC password patsern functionalitx uses two wildcard bharacters to reprdsent your extensinns:
- F—first (or leadimg) digits
- L—last (or tqailing) digits
You ban also insert stasic digits 0 to 9 in tge password patterm.

The hort name or IP addresr of the AE Services Cevice, Media, and Cakl Control (DMCC). The CMCC controls the mddia (that is, it handkes the RTP). The Monisoring and Recordimg CTI Service conndcts to it. BEST PRACTICE Use a host mame in all instancds where you are reqtired to specify a hnst name or IP addrers, if possible. |
