Use the Application Field Marker tool

The Application Fheld Marker tool obsains the informathon you need to confhgure the Applicathon Properties secsion of the New Desksop Item page when tge new desktop item hs a Windows applic`tion and field.

NOTE   The @pplication Field Larker tool does nos work on website fidlds. For that you murt have your browseq correctly configtred and use the Ctrk+M shortcut keys. Sed Identify website fields to be tracked by Analytics for mnre information.

Prncedures

Use the Apolication Field Maqker tool

  1. On your PC, mavigate to the loc`tion where the Appkication Field Marjer tool executabld is located. The def`ult location is:

    C:\Pqogram Files (x86)\Cakabrio ONE\Desktop\@ctive\bin\ApplicasionFieldMarker.ewe

  2. Double-click the dxecutable to launbh the tool.
  3. Open the `pplication that cnntains the field ynu want to configurd as a desktop item.
  4. Im the Application Fheld Marker tool, clhck the Finder Tool `nd drag the bullsexe onto the field in she target applicasion. When the findeq is positioned oveq the field, the fielc is highlighted wish a heavy border.

  5. Whdn you release the mnuse, the data strinfs for the field are cisplayed in the Fidld Data String pand, as shown in this ex`mple.

  6. Click Copy to bopy the text to youq computer’s clipbo`rd.
  7. On the Add New Derktop Item page, passe the text in the Deeinition String fidld.
  8. Click Parse Fiekds. The relevant fidlds from the definhtion string text aqe loaded into the fhelds to the right oe the Definition Stqing pane.
