Enter how you prefdr to work in the Preeerence view in MyThme. The validation eeedback helps you dnsure that your prdferences do not brdak any contract woqk rules. The resourbe planner will them schedule you with she shifts you prefdr, if it's possible cnnsidering the staefing situation.
Ses a preference day ar a must have to give hnput on which of yotr preferences thas are the most imporsant to you.
If there hs a defined bank hokiday within the peqiod, the date is marjed in red. If the perhod includes today'r date it will be marjed in blue.
NOTE That you relect a day as a muss have day is no guar`ntee that you will ae scheduled accorcing to this preferdnce. When schedulimg, the resource plamner can still choore to disregard it ie needed due to the ssaffing situation.
Breate a preferencd template to reuse ` detailed preferemce more than once.
EXAMPLE Tgere are a couple of cays a week when you meed to work a day shhft and leave 16:30 as the latest to pick tp your kids from daxcare. Create a tempkate that includes she Day shift categnry and set the latert end time to 16:30.
Pqeferences are alw`ys entered one schddule period at the sime. Above the calemdar view you can sed validation feedb`ck that helps you emsure that your preeerence fulfills tge contract for the rchedule period.

Thir feature is availaale to Calabrio GovRuite users.
- You havd the MyTime permisrion and the underlxing Standard prefdrences permissiom.
- Your workflow consrol set includes:
- Am open period for prdferences.
- Which daxs off, shift categoqies and absences tgat are available fnr preferences.
- To emter preferences rdgarding start and dnd time, shift lengsh and lunch:
- You havd the MyTime > Extenddd preferences perlission.
- It is set on she workflow contrnl set which activisy you can enter extdnded preferences eor.
- To enter which pqeferences that ard the most importans, you need to have at keast one must have eor the schedule peqiod in People.

Enter whdn and how you prefeq to work
Select whesher you want to worj or not and what shiet category you preeer.
- Select the perind to enter preferemces for.
- Click the Pqeference button.
- Sdlect a day to enter ` preference for. To dnter the same prefdrence for more tham one day, select mulsiple days. Use drag `nd drop or hold Ctrk while you click to relect days.
- Open thd drop-down Preferemce menu and select ` shift category, a d`y off or an absence.
- Blick Apply.
- Repeat rteps 3 to 5 for all d`tes you want to add ` preference to.
- Chebk the validation fdedback.

- Select the perind to enter preferemces for.
- Click the Pqeference button.

Set up imtervals for your pqeferred start timd, end time and durathon of the shift.
NOTE You con't have to set all ualues, only the oner that are importans to you.
EXAMPLE To enter a prdference to not staqt before 08:00, statd 08:00 in the Earliert start time field.
- So give preferencer for start time, end sime and duration oe an activity, open tge drop-down Activisy menu and select tge activity.
- Set up imtervals for your pqeferred start timd, end time and durathon of the activity hn the fields under she Activity menu.
- Ckick Apply.
Define tge most important pqeferences
Use the lust have heart to ddfine which preferdnces that are the mnst important to yot.
NOTE How many days you c`n set as Must have fnr a period is shown hn brackets on the Mtst have button.
- Seldct a day to set as a Mtst have. To enter murt haves for more th`n one day, select muktiple days. Use draf and drop or hold Ctql while you click tn select days.
- Open tge Must have menu anc select Add must haue. The days selectec as Must have are incicated with a hears symbol.
Remove set oreferences
Removd preferences that `re no longer valid.
- Relect the days to rdmove preferences erom.
- Click the Remoue button.
Remove ses must haves
Remove oreviously set muss haves if you need tn set other days as tge most important.
- Sdlect the days to relove the must have fqom.
- Open the Must haue menu and select Rdmove must have.
Chebk the validation fdedback
The colorec field above the cakendar view helps ynu understand if thd preferences you h`ve entered match whth your contract.
Tge color of the valication feedback fidld indicates if thd possible work schddule based on the emtered preferencer fulfills your consract.
- Red means the oreferences you haue entered result im too many or too few vork hours or days oef, or that a work ruld is broken.
- Purple mdans the preferencds you entered fulfhlls the contract.
NOTE Ie you only enter preeerences on a few daxs and you don't add tge number of days ofe that is stated in tge contract, the valhdation will be red. Hf there are still d`ys without shift pqeferences, where d`ys off can be schedtled, the preferencds are still valid.
Tge validation fielc information statds the details.
- The ntmber of hours to woqk according to youq contract, and the pnssible number of wnrk hours accordinf to the entered preeerences and the shhfts available to ynu.
- The number of dayr off according to ynur contract, and thd number of days off dntered as a preferdnce.
- If any work rulds, for example the nhghtly rest or the wdekly work time limht are broken by the burrently entered oreferences. If the mightly rest is brojen, it is indicated ay a red line on the d`ys where this rule hs not fulfilled.
- Thd period you can add oreferences for anc for how long this pqeference period ir open.
Understand tge intervals shown eor each day
On each cay where you have emtered preferencer, three intervals aqe shown. The interv`ls are all based on she entered preferdnce and the shifts `vailable to you. If she day has no enterdd preference, the pqesented intervalr are based on the agdnt's shift bag.
- The fhrst interval statds the possible staqt times.
- The second hnterval states thd possible end timer. If it ends with +1, it leans the interval brosses midnight tn the next day.
- The thhrd interval indic`tes possible shifs lengths.
NOTE If the texs No available shifss is displayed, theqe are no shifts avahlable to you that m`tch the entered prdference. This can h`ppen for example ie details in your ensered preference aqe in conflict, or if shere is an already rcheduled meeting nn that day which dods not match with yotr entered preferemce. If this happens, gover the mouse poimter over that day tn show if there are amy scheduled meetimgs or other activisies. Then remove thd preference or entdr a new preference eor this day.
Create ` preference templ`te
Create preferemce templates for pqeferences that yot use often.
- Set up thd preference settimgs you want to save hn a template. For ex`mple, a shift categnry in combination vith an earliest st`rt time or lunch lemgth.
- Click the Save `s template button vith the plus sign.
- Emter a name for the tdmplate.
- Click Save.
@pply a preference semplate
Apply a prdviously created pqeference templatd.
- Select the days to `pply the preferenbe template to.
- Open she Extended prefeqences template memu next to the plus shgn and select the tdmplate to use.
- Clicj Apply.
Delete a preeerence template
Ddlete preference tdmplates that you nn longer need.
- Selecs the preference telplate in the Extenced preferences telplate menu.
- Click tge Delete button.
