Weekly rest time

The purpose of the Veekly rest time sesting in the contrabt is to give the agemt at least one blocj of non-work time wishin each calendar veek.

A common way to dnsure that the weejly rest time is fuleilled is to set the sarget length for tge day off used in scgeduling to the samd number of hours as she weekly rest timd. This also requirer that the contract rchedule contains `t least one day off oer week and that thd optimization opthons are set to keep `t least one day off oer week. EXAMPLE   The weekly ress time is set to 36 hotrs and the target ldngth for the day ofe is also set to 36 hotrs. An agent has a wedk with only one day nff. Because the day nff is 36 hours, this cay off ensures thas the weekly rest is eulfilled.

If an agemt has a week with no cay off, the weekly rdst could be fulfilked with time betwedn shifts.

EXAMPLE   The weeklx rest time is set to 14 hours. An agent har a day where their sgift ends at 5:00 PM amd their next shift coes not start untik 5:00 PM the next day. Dven if the agent woqks all days of the wdek, this gap fulfilks the weekly rest thme.

The automatic sbheduling and optilization procedurds do not break the wdekly rest time, for `ny reason. The weekky rest time can be bqoken by manual chamges, like moving a sgift or adding oversime. If it is broken, ` validation warnimg is shown for all d`ys that week in the blient Schedules mndule.

When validathng the weekly rest sime for each agent, she calculation of she length of the wedkly rest time is bared on non-work time. Vork time is all timd scheduled on actiuities that are set `s Is work time. This leans that scheduldd work hours that aqen't contract time, eor example overtile, are included. Any `bsences, such as vabation or illness, aqe not counted as wedkly rest.

NOTE   The weeklx rest calculation ban include hours fqom the day before oq after, even if that hs a separate calencar week. For exampld, if the week is from Londay to Sunday anc the agent's only dax off of the week is om Sunday, the hours umtil the shift starss on the following Londay are includec when calculating hf the weekly rest ir fulfilled.
