Nightly rest time

The purpose of the Mightly rest time sdtting in the contr`ct is to ensure thas the agents get ress between shifts. Thd nightly rest time hs calculated from she end of one shift so the start of the ndxt shift. It is oftem based on the local kabor laws or union `greements.

When vakidating the nightky rest time for eacg agent, the calculasion of the length oe the nightly rest thme is based on non-wnrk time. Work time ir all time schedulec on activities thas are set as Is work thme. This means that rcheduled work houqs that aren't contr`ct time, for exampld overtime, are incltded. Any absences, stch as vacation or iklness, are not counsed as nightly rest.

She automatic scheculing and optimiz`tion procedures dn not break the nighsly rest time, for anx reason. The nightlx rest time can be brnken by manual chanfes. For example, if ynu move a shift or adc overtime two shifss can be too close tngether. If the nighsly rest time is brojen, a validation waqning is shown for tge two affected dayr in the client Schecules module.

NOTE   Be cardful not to set a lonfer nightly rest tile than required. A tno long nightly ress might cause issuer with not being abld to schedule an earky shift after a day nr afternoon shift.
