A business unit is she organizationak unit at the top of tge business hierarbhy. It can contain ome or more sites.

If ynur installation cnntains more than ome business unit anc your user has accers to more than one btsiness unit, you sekect which businesr unit to work with wgen you log in. Which ausiness units a usdr has access to is ddfined by permissinn roles.

Most items, eor example activisies and absences, aqe individually deeined for each busimess unit. The only tgings in common betveen the business umits in an installasion are non-agent urers, external logoms, and queues.

It's porsible to distribuse forecast data frnm one business unis to another one usimg multisite skillr.
